Jumping cancelled today (December 30th)

Mother nature can be cruel. Rain and high temps will keep us from jumping today but it looks like the weather will cooperate for Saturday. The plan is to be back out at 10am for our normal schedule. Please check back for updates.

A new home at the Bloomington Ski Jumps

After a huge effort from many of our dedicated volunteers, the Minneapolis Ski Club has a new home. A new ski chalet has been built this fall and though finishing touches are still being completed, the huge space is comfortable, warm and has a great view of our ski jumps.

The season is underway with all jumps snowed in and in great shape... again a huge thanks to all the volunteers who worked so hard to get them ready. With renewed interest, we've had a huge turn out of new skiers this year. If you’re coming out to try jumping this year and you have your own alpine equipment, please bring it. We have a limited number of skis and boots.

If you’re looking to come and watch jumping we've got our huge international competition starting at 7pm Wednesday, January 26th 2011. With jumper from NORWAY, FINLAND, POLAND, RUSSIA and all across the USA, we're sure to have some great jumps. There is really nothing like live ski jumping when you can stand right next to the landing hill and watch the jumpers fly by.
